First Female AI News Anchor Goes Live
Chinese news office Xinhua has put its first female Artificial Intelligence (AI) news moderator at work, flagging an unmistakable risk to human writers in the years to come.
Brandishing a short hair style and wearing a pink dress, the AI robot named "Xin Xiaomeng" made its presentation in a short, one-minute video on Sunday as China's Two Sessions - the nation's greatest political gatherings of the year - commenced.
The Two Sessions occasion is consecutive gatherings between the Chinese Peoplea¿s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the National People's Congress (NPC).
Xinhua has offered life to "Xin Xiaomeng" in a joint effort with Chinese web search tool organization Soguo.
"Xiaomeng" joins two male AI stays officially working with the news office.
